Pinakbet Pizza. Yes. You heard that right. Pinakbet Pizza.
Ilocos is lovingly known for its local food varieties but this should top its charts for a long time. Pinakbet - a local viand - is a specialty of the Northern Philippines. It originally consist of vegetables like squash, okra, bittergourd, string beans, tomatoes doused in shrimp paste (bagoong) - exactly the same toppings found on the pizza.
*Although when travelling in different areas of the province, varieties in these might be found/tasted.*
These ingredients put together in a hand-tossed thin crust and blanketed with mozzarella cheese brings you the truly unique Pinakbet Pizza.
